G. Eric Boireau, CAMT

 

Hello, My name is Eric and i am the Owner of Bruin Property Solutions, LLC. I have been in the maintenance and repair industry for over 25 years. I have a strong foundation in running multifamily properties, high rise buildings and also assembling class A maintenance teams. I am starting this business to help the residents of New Bern and the surrounding areas with keeping their homes and businesses in top shape physically, maintaining their value and providing them with equity. 

 

​A few things I bring to the table:

I am Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician by the National Apartment Association

I have my EPA 608 Universal Certification to handle refrigerants.

I am also 410-a refrigerant certified and A2L refrigerant certified.

I am a Certified Pool Operator by the Pool and Hot Tub Alliance.

I hold an OSHA 30 Construction Certification by OSHA for extensive safety training. 

I have a Project Management Certification from Google.

My Story

Hello New Bern,

My name is Eric and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself, my background, and WHY I'm starting this business.

My family and I moved to New Bern last year in search of a more peaceful lifestyle. I was born and raised in Massachusetts in an old colonial house built in 1720. I’ve always been fascinated with building things and taking them apart. I started my working career in my family’s business running a metal finishing shop as the 5th generation of that company. The shop was run out of an old 19th century shoe factory that always needed things fixed and repaired. I branched out and started my own side hustle offering small repair and painting services for clients in my area. Things were good and I was doing it full time. Then the housing market crashed in 08, work dried up and I was looking for something more stable.

I decided to go back to school to learn HVAC. I graduated from Porter and Chester Institute in 2010, and got a job as a maintenance technician for an apartment community. I grew my skills further and was promoted to service manager. I switched companies and grew even further over the last 10 years. My last role was a leadership position in a new business program providing maintenance support services to over 100 communities nationwide. I focused on training, coaching and mentorship of over 500 technicians within the program and guiding over 3 dozen new maintenance leaders into their roles.

In March of this year, my company made the decision to cancel our program, and I was left without a redeployment option.

I looked deep into my personal mission and realized I needed to dig in and help the community I moved to a year ago. I love living here and my family is happy. I want to give back.

That's where Bruin Property Solutions comes in. I wanted a way to help my neighbors maintain their homes and businesses while still providing for my family. My business is community focused and i want to provide the best service available to it.
